This year, Arthur Murray Dance Studio‘s Dancing With the Celebrities raised almost $130,000 for nonprofits Pinnacle School, the Monroe County Chapter of the American Red Cross, Cardinal Stage Company’s Education Initiative, My Sister’s Closet, Boys and Girls Clubs of Bloomington, and Pets Alive.
The local celebrities who participated in the seventh annual dance contest were Russell Moss, co-owner of Golden Ticket Productions; Karin Drummond, of Drummond Chiropractic; Michael Korus, broker and owner of Maxim Real Estate; Rhonda Sharp, owner of Blayza; Jason Bell, manager at The Vacuum Center; and Ingrid Skoog, owner of Art of Connection.
Each of the dancers performed three dances on Saturday, April 18 at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater. Russ Moss won the Mirror Ball Trophy for raising the most money for his non-profit, Pinnacle School. Karin Drummond won the Judges Choice Award for her skills on the dance floor.
