It was a beautiful weekend for the cyclists participating in the 48th Hilly Hundred on October 10–11. Each year, the Central Indiana Bicycling Association invites touring cyclists to experience autumn in southern Indiana. The non-competitive bike route covers approximately 100 miles over two days.
This year, around 4,000 cyclists challenged themselves by climbing the hills of Monroe and Owen counties while still taking in the scenery of the changing leaves. Bloomington photographer Peter Hamlin has captured both aspects of the event in the photo gallery below. —Erin Stephenson
