Indiana reclaimed its lead in the closing minutes, then held on to top North Texas, 68-63, Tuesday night, December 5, in front of an announced crowd of 2,303 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. Senior Tyra Buss played the entire game for the Hoosiers and led all scorers with 26 points. Forward Amanda Cahill, also a senior, added 15 along with a dozen rebounds, while junior Kym Royster threw in 13.

Indiana trailed only once, 2-0, in the first half, and led by as many as 15 points early in the third quarter, but the Mean Green chiseled away at the Hoosiers’ advantage to tie the game at 53 with 7:53 left in the contest. The two teams swapped the lead through the next four minutes until Indiana went on top for good with a Buss layup at the 3:27 mark.

North Texas (6-2) was led by Terriell Bradley with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Lauren Holmes added 11.

The win stops a three-game skid by the Hoosiers, who are now 5-4 on the season. They travel to Northern Kentucky this Saturday, December 9, to face the 1-6 Norse, losers of their last two contests. Tip-off is at 7 p.m.
