Indiana tallied 555 yards in total offense in a 52-0 route of Eastern Illinois University at IU’s Memorial Stadium Saturday, September 7, the team’s 2019 home opener.
Starting quarterback Michale Penix Jr. was 14-20 for 197 yards and two touchdowns before relinquishing the field to Peyton Ramsey, who was 13-14 for 226 yards and another two touchdowns.
Stevie Scott III rushed for 61 yards on a dozen carries, including one touchdown, and Donavan Hale brought down 5 passes for 110 yards and a TD.
The win pushed the Hoosiers to 2-0 on the season, while Eastern Illinois dropped to 0-2. Indiana hosts Big Ten rival Ohio State (2-0) this Saturday, September 14. Kickoff at Memorial Stadium is scheduled for noon.
