The 28th annual Lotus World Music and Arts Festival begins on Thursday, September 23 in downtown Bloomington, featuring 18 artists performing music from 14 countries.
The festival will offer seven venues, including both indoor and outdoor shows, and will require face masks at all ticketed events.
For patrons over the age of 12, proof of a COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID test dated within 48 hours of the event will be required. Children under the age of 12 will also be required to present a receipt for a negative COVID test result dated within 48 hours of the event. All COVID tests receipts must include the full name of the patron and must match the patron’s photo ID. All Lotus staff and volunteers will be fully vaccinated, and masks and hand sanitizer will be provided outside of venues.
This year’s free offerings includeFestival in the Meadow at Dunn Meadow on Thursday, September 23 from 9:30–11 p.m.; the Lotus Arts Village on 6th Street between Walnut and Washington Streets on Friday, September 24 and Saturday, September 25 from 6–10 p.m.; Festival in the Park at Switchyard Park on Saturday, September 25 from 12–5 p.m.; and Festival Unwind Yoga at the FAR Center for Contemporary Arts at 505 W. 4th St. on Sunday, September 26, from 11 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
