After scoring Indiana’s first 11 points, Mackenzie Holmes went on to a career-high 29-point night in leading the No. 7/8 Hoosiers to an 88-67 win over No. 13 Kentucky Sunday, November 14, at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.

The win was the 150th for head coach Teri Moren at Indiana.

“This is a great win for us tonight at home in front of our home crowd against a really good Kentucky team,” Moren said after the game. “Any time you have two Top 20 teams that are playing one another this early in the season, it makes for some really good women’s basketball.”

Grace Berger dropped in 19 points to go along with nine rebounds, and Ali Patberg scored 16. Nicole Cardaño-Hillary dropped in a dozen—all in the second half—and had seven assists.

The win is the second of the young season for Indiana, following an 86-63 win over Butler last Wednesday. The Hoosiers host Norfolk State (2-1) on Tuesday, November 16, with tip-off set for 7 p.m.
