Volunteer Day: Autumn Olive Take Down!

Program Location: Meet at ramp parking lot in Cutright State Recreation area (located just south of the causeway on SR 446).

We need YOUR help to take down Autumn Olive, a non-native, invasive shrub that is harming native species at Monroe Lake. Volunteers should bring work gloves, water, and, if you have them, hand tools (suitable for tackling branches up to 1 ½” in diameter). Snacks will be provided. The work day will wrap up around 4 pm.

Registration is requested (particularly if you’re bringing a group) by October 5. However, last minute volunteers are more than welcome to just show up that day. Contact Jill Vance at 812-837-9967 or [email protected].
