Visiting Scholar Dr. Catherine Foley, Director, MA Ethnochoreology, Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, a scholar, musician, and dancer, will lead the class in a lecture-demonstration of traditional Irish music and dance collaborations with local Irish musicians and dancers. The workshop is part of E460/660 Creativity and Collaboration, an anthropology course taught by Anya Royce, professor of anthropology, that examines the process of innovation across performing, visual, and literary arts, highlighting the relationship between individual expression and collaboration. Financial support has been provided by the School of Global and International Studies, the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies, Latino Studies, the Department of Anthropology, and the College of Arts and Sciences.
