The Wanamaker Collection of Native American photos is a well-known respository of 8,000 images taken between 1908 and 1923. The collection, including thousands of pages of associated documents, supports many fascinating research projects. In this talk, Mathers Museum Chief Curator Ellen Sieber will recount some of the interesting, and at times unexpected, turns taken by Wanamaker Collection researchers. The event will be free and open to the public.
Free visitor parking is available by the Indiana Avenue lobby entrance. Metered parking is available at the McCalla School parking lot on the corner of Ninth Street and Indiana Avenue.
