McCormick’s Creek State Park Outing with the Greater Bloomington Sierra Club
MEET @Wolf Cave Parking area 9AM (1.5 miles into the park)
DETAILS: Trail 7 down to the creek, & back around. Trail 7 -listed as a moderate 1.8 mile trail, runs along the creek & through McCormick’s Cove Nature Preserve. If possible, cross the creek & see the old quarry. You may depart or continue onto 5 through Wolf Cave Nature Preserve. Visit the cave and twin bridges, a 2 mile moderate hike.
Full event 3hrs w/both hikes ~ equal time.
OPEN to members and the public. Enjoy the scenic land once home to the Miami First Nations. Named for Homesteader John McCormick, this state park is filled with canyons, ravines, and waterfalls. Sure to be an inspiring adventure for outdoor & nature enthusiasts alike.
Cost: $5 per carload or free w/ park pass
