Rusty Belle at Players Pub

08:30 pm
Players Pub, 424 S. Walnut
http://www.theplayerspub.com

Rusty Belle has had a busy year, sharing the stage with fellow folk artists Chris Smither, Peter Mulvey, Kris Delmhorst and The David Wax Museum, playing up and down the East Coast. The “junkyard folk” trio’s sound has been compared to that of The Band, The Kinks and Etta James and they harmonize, bang on homemade drums and wail on guitars with a joyful abandon, and a style both fresh and familiar.
The group has recently gained attention on national satellite radio and looks forward to playing Bloomington for the first time.
“Rusty Belle’s songs include a magnificent fusion of genres from country to rock and blues to 80s pop, creating a smoothie of liquid gold…” (Culture Fly, UK )
