Steev Wisher is one of the staff members who keep the Bloomington Songwriter Showcase running smoothly. He confirms writer’s participation on their upcoming programs, makes flyers for the venue, and can be found on stage doing our half-show announcements – often with the humor of a professional comedian. This part of the Showcase has become an Audience favorite! Steev is an award-winning writer in his own right – having won spots on all four Blooming-Tune Song Competitions. He is a wonderful musician, lyrist and is the leader of a popular Bloomington Rock band who call themselves – the Double E Band. Also on this evening’s program are TWO dynamic Duos – Anne Hurley and hubby Jim Krause, known in the Bloomington area for their amazing back up work on musical projects for some of the area’s finest talent . . . perform their own (mostly) instrumental compositions – inspired and written to reflect their love of nature, especially mountains and the sea. Their music takes us on a trip to the beautiful locations the couple has visited over the years. Anna Hungerfield-Lynch and co-writer James Damico are not a couple personally, but they sure do team up to make some great songs! Americana, Jazz, Blues inspired songs played by James and sang mostly by Anna. They often perform with another fine talented singer in their trio- Amigo Fields.
