http://buskirkchumley.org/index.php/events/icalrepeat.detail/2015/02/22/29/-/a-red-carpet-affair-the-academy-awards-at-the-bct

Walk the red carpet to benefit the Buskirk-Chumley Theater!

Join us for a celebration of film including a screening of the Academy Awards, red carpet coverage, movie trivia, a local short film competition, and more! Your best red carpet attire is encouraged.

7:00 – doors open, games begin, live red carpet coverage begins
7:45 – local film competition screening and voting
8:30 – Academy Awards ceremony begins, games continue during commercial breaks

Admission to the screening and the short film competition is free. You can also purchase a ticket to the VIP reception on the mezzanine and balcony. The reception includes an open bar featuring Upland Brewing Company and Oliver Winery and snacks from One World Catering.

Funds raised will benefit the programming of the Buskirk-Chumley Theater. Help us bring nationally known performers to our community AND make our stage available to local artists. Help support our mission by purchasing an Oscar Bingo card or an Oscar Ballot. You are also invited to participate in our silent auction of entertainment-related items. The auction will include:

*two row G tickets to the Tig Notaro performance on February 27
*a “life-size” cardboard TARDIS donated by BBC America after a recent Doctor Who event
*a visit to IU’s Lily Library with John Vickers, Director of the IU Cinema, to see the Oscar statuette awarded to “How Green Was My Valley”

Special thanks to our media sponsor, WFIU.

Cost: free admission for screening, $30 for VIP reception
