Talks are free and held on Friday afternoons at Wylie House Museum’s Morton C. Bradley, Jr. Education Center, located next door to the museum at 317 E. Second St.

Before the 1850s when synthetic dyes were first introduced, indigo, black oak bark (cuercus) and madder root were three of the natural dyes used in Indiana. Local sources, imported materials, techniques, and examples will be discussed and displayed.
