Before Twitter, Style.com, Fashion Police, and Vogue, artists such as Antoine Trouvain, Nicolas Bonnart, and Claude-Louis Desrais disseminated the latest styles from Paris to the masses through print portfolios. Ashley Hasty, lecturer in the Department of Apparel Merchandising and Interior Design, will discuss the apparel illustrated a drawing by Desrais for an eighteenth-century fashion plate.
