At the end of last year, the IU Art Museum received an unexpected gift from the estate of Drs. Robert and Isobel Pfeiffer. The Warsaw, Indiana, natives received degrees from IU (Robert, EdD 1953; Isobel, EdM 1948) and generously bequeathed a large portion of their art collection to their alma mater. Nan Brewer, the museum’s Lucienne M. Glaubinger Curator of Works on Paper, will discuss highlights from the Pfeiffer collection, including a rare print by Stuart Davis, a lithograph by Charles Burchfield, an etching by Lyonel Feininger, a preparatory drawing by Rockwell Kent, and many other works on paper by female artists and illustrators.
