On Tuesday, July 7th, the first Tuesday of July, beginning at 5:30 p.m, The Venue will continue its Bloomington Unplugged series, featuring acoustic performances by outstanding local artists. This month’s featured performer is Marc Haggerty.
In his life Marc has been many things, a Marine Vietnam Vet, an anti-war activist, an international high wire artist with the Ringling Brothers’ Circus, an environmental activist, a voting rights activist and more. Marc is currently a member of the Board of Directors of New Leaf New Life, and is actively involved in opposing the Griffy Deer Kill. Marc is an activist who has the courage of his convictions.
Ever a conscious of our community, Marc is talented song writer, guitarist and performer, whose contributions to our music scene span 40 years, from Dillon Buston to his current solo performances and his performing and touring with UpFolk. Whether it’s a Dillon cover, a Hendrix guitar riff or a thought provoking original piece, hearing Marc perform is a Bloomington treat.
