The homes are located just south and east of Indiana University.

In Bloomington, atomic ranch isn’t just a catchy term for mid-century homes. Here it can also mean a home for atomic scientists!
BRI’s 39th annual historic tour features 6 outstanding “atomic ranches,” including the one built by two Manhattan project scientists as their home. Take a look inside the homes, and you will see window walls that open interior rooms into outdoor spaces, you will find a dining table that slides through a wall between the kitchen and living area, and you will walk through completely original kitchens and bathrooms and distinctive carports.
The tour is Saturday, Oct. 24 from noon to 5 p.m. Tickets go on sale Saturday, Oct. 10 and cost $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. The homes are located just south and east of Indiana University.
Buy tickets in advance at Bloomingfoods or the Bloomington Visitors Center on North Walnut Street. On the day of the tour, buy tickets at tour headquarters, 1342 Southdowns Drive.

Cost: $10 for adults, $5 for children under 12
