Walk the red carpet to benefit the Buskirk-Chumley Theater!

Join us for a celebration of film: a local film competition, red carpet coverage, and the Academy Awards ceremony. Admission to the screening is free but you must have a ticket ($15) for access to the VIP reception on the mezzanine and balcony. The reception includes elegant appetizers from Grazie! Italiano and a free beer, wine, or soft drink. Our concessions area will be open for all and the popcorn popper will be… well, poppin’!

Funds raised through the VIP reception will benefit the programming of the Buskirk-Chumley Theater. Help us bring nationally known performers to our community AND make our stage available to local artists.

Schedule of Events
6 p.m. – doors open
6:30 p.m. – local film competition – enjoy 3-minute curated films on any subject (all will be rated “G”) and vote for your favorite
7 p.m. – red carpet coverage begins
8:30 p.m. – Academy Awards ceremony begins
9 p.m. – film competition winner announced during a commercial break
The evening ends when the award for Best Picture is presented!

Pull out your tux or pick out a gown. Your best red carpet attire is encouraged for this celebration.

Calling all filmmakers! Register your intent to submit a film by purchasing a film registration ticket by midnight on February 1. Be sure to provide the email address you would like us to use in future communication about this competition during checkout.
