The Friends of the Library Annual Meeting on Wednesday, June 22 from 5:45-7:15 pm features children and young adult author Elsa Marston Harik. How can good books make the world better for young people? While her most recent books, The Olive Tree and The Compassionate Warrior, are very different in subject matter, they are both set in the Middle East and share an important commonality with a focus on interfaith bridge-building and finding ways to overcome differences.
