Introduction to Buddhism: An Explanation of the Buddhist Way of Life

If you would like to receive an introduction to Buddhism with a structured approach, this course may be for you. You can attend the entire 12 week course, a 4-week series, or simply drop-in to any class on any week. The greatest benefit will be received by attending and participating in as much of the course as your schedule allows.
Buddha’s teachings are scientific methods for improving our human nature and qualities through developing the capacity of our mind. This course provides a special opportunity to learn essential principles unique to Buddhist philosophy as well as a chance to deeply experience meditation as a tool for training our mind. Each class consists of chanted prayer, guided meditations, teachings, and discussion. Part 1 – Starting Wednesdays, January 17 – February 7, 6:30-8:30pm Part 2 – Starting Wednesdays, February 14 – March 7, 6:30-8:30pm Part 3 – Starting Wednesdays, March 14 – April 4, 6:30-8:30pm
