Its Maple Syrup Season at the Farmstead

Bloomington Restorations, Inc. invites you to the monthly opening of the Hinkle-Garton Farmstead on Saturday, January 27, 2018, from 1-4 p.m. Come watch the tapping of the historic Sugar Maple trees and learn a bit about the sugaring process. Inside the 1892 main farmhouse, enjoy the music provided by Friday Musicale. And while there won’t be any syrup for sale yet, there will be a selection of jams and jellies produced at the site.

The farmstead, located at 2920 E. 10th Street, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is headquarters to Bloomington Restorations, Inc., an organization committed to preservation of historic properties in Monroe County. The main house and museum are free and open to the public 1-4 p.m. the last Saturday of most months.
