Bloomington Unplugged, The Art Early Music at The Venue

05:30 pm to 07:00 pm
The Venue

For April’s Bloomington Unplugged on Tuesday, April 3, The Venue will host a performance by La Luna la Mía, an early music performance group. La Luna la Mía specializes in music and poetry from medieval communities in southern Europe and the Mediterranean. They play instruments copied after surviving originals and period representations, and recite poetry in historical languages in an attempt to recreate the sounds and textures of ancient times. Their performances bring together research in music, linguistics, folk literature, and performance practice to create unique and moving programs. Formed in 2017 and based here in Bloomington, the ensemble is an up-and-coming early music ensemble.

The Program of this performance will be Las Cantigas de Santa María, Music from Medieval Spain.
This unique performance is free at The Venue, so come early for a good seat.

Cost: free
