Bloomington poet, editor, and radio producer Jenny Kander will discuss her recent creative foray into the making of primitive dolls and creatures, which have accompanying stories. Kander’s new direction began while recuperating from an illness.

Kander has edited several volumes of poetry, produced programs for community and National Public Radio stations, and is a founding member of the Bloomington Free Verse (now Tuesday Poets) Workshop. Her own poetry has appeared in numerous publications and she has had two poetry chapbooks published. She has also worked in the medium of collage.

Sponsored by South Central ArtsWORK Indiana. Local partner organizations: Indiana Institute on Disability and Community and the City of Bloomington. This is a participating event in the 2012 Creative Aging Festival. The building is fully accessible. Free public parking is available in adjacent lot after 5 pm.

Cost: free
