Tour of Dillman Rd Wastewater Treatment Plant

10:00 am to 11:00 am
Dillman Rd Wastewater Treatment Plant
http://bloomington.in.gov/utilities/tours

Have you ever wondered exactly where the water coming out of your kitchen faucet has come from? Or where wastewater goes when you flush? City of Bloomington Utilities (CBU) invites you to satisfy your curiosity by touring the plants that serve the water needs of Bloomington and Monroe County. Water is plentiful in our area, but prior to the creation of Lake Monroe, Bloomington had decades of water woes and short-term fixes. As part of the city’s bicentennial celebration, CBU staff are sharing the history of drinking water and wastewater in our area on tours of the Monroe Water Treatment Plant, Dillman Wastewater Treatment Plant, and the Blucher Poole Wastewater Treatment Plant. Each tour will accommodate a maximum of 15 participants and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. RSVP by email to [email protected] or by phone at 812-349-3650.

Cost: FREE
