Suicide Prevention, Your Titanic Power to Help People Choose To STAY

05:30 pm to 07:00 pm
The Venue

“Art imitates Life” so they say. In this case, it can instruct us, as well.
At The Venue, as a part of Mental Health Month, on Tuesday eve,May 29th, beginning at 5:30 p.m., we are pleased to present an inspired approach, created by Mark Besen, PH.D, Psychologist and Master Trainer with the QPR Institute for Suicide Prevention, to intervene, and perhaps save a life.. (QPR Question-Persuade-Refer.)
Showing a dramatic example from the Movie Titanic, Michelle Martin Colman, Survivor of Suicide Support Facilitator for (see Facebook) Project_STAY, will introduce a step by step approach that equips people, every-day ordinary people, to intervene when they feel someone is at risk of taking their own life. At a time when Suicide is a growing epidemic, creating connection in a crisis can make all the difference.
Attend this session to learn more about your power to make a difference.
