Run for the Animals 5K & Barktoberfest Event

10:00 am to 02:00 pm
Karst Farm Park Grounds

Please join us to be a part of the annual community Run for the Animals 5K & Barktoberfest event, coming up on Sunday, October 7th. The Run for the Animals is a timed 5K run/walk and event along the Karst Farm Park grounds, with all of the proceeds benefiting the programs and services of MCHA. Barktoberfest, happening both during and after race events, includes vendors, an off-leash dog play area, dog contests, demonstrations, and many other fun activities for both families and furry friends! This event is so important to the Monroe County Humane Association and our ability to provide many programs and services that would otherwise not exist in our community. MCHA aims to work towards a more humane future for Monroe County pets by coordinating accessible veterinary care through the Nonprofit Veterinary Clinic, offering a free pet food and supply resource pantry, humane education, funding assistance for spay/neuter surgeries, and coordinating a pet therapy program – many lives, human and animal alike, are touched by the work of MCHA.
In 2017, we welcomed our 200 runners and walkers and 100 furry friends to the event! Full event details can be found at our website www.monroehumane.org, including how to register to participate! Questions about becoming a vendor or sponsor? Contact Kimberly Goy at [email protected]
