NOISE Contemporary Art Gallery proudly presents A Place to Put All My Art, a solo exhibition by St. Louis-based, Israeli born artist Edo Rosenblith. The title of the exhibition playfully references a George Carlin bit about homes as storage units for all of our stuff, highlighting the imperative of consumer accumulation that drives our society. Featuring prints, paintings, artist books, and animations, Edo draws from the history of cartooning and caricature as heavily as he does the work of similarly-inspired artist Phillip Guston. Edo’s work consistently features grotesque and distorted portraits and relies on his facility as a draftsman. Edo’s work interrogates and criticizes the process of accumulation directly through neoliberal capitalism and indirectly through the machinations of the art market, all without losing an exuberant passion for making itself.
