Join us for a lecture by guest artist Kathleen Kucka at The Republic Building on Tuesday, September 17 at 6:30 pm. The lecture will take place in the auditorium.
This event is free and open to the public.
Kathleen Kucka is an artist with a BFA from Cooper Union in New York City and an MFA from Hunter College. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. Kucka’s work is in private and public collections including the Norton Museum of Art, West Palm Beach, Florida; The Weatherspoon Art Museum; The Birmingham Museum of Art; and Borusan Contemporary Collection, Istanbul, Turkey; among others. Her work has been written about in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Art News, Gay City News, and Time Out, as well as other publications. Residencies include the Bemis Foundation in Omaha, Nebraska and the Vermont Studio Center. In 2015 Kucka’s work was included in the published book, New York Studio Conversations: Seventeen Women Talk about Art, by Stephanie Buhmann. She lives and works between New York City and Falls Village, CT.
