Science StoryTime

09:30 am to 10:15 am
WonderLab in the WonderGarden
https://www.facebook.com/events/966629967493542/

Topic: Song of Summer – Cicadas
Weather permitting – Masks Required – Distance Enforced
Join us in the WonderGarden as we read Natsumi’s Song of Summer by Robert Paul Weston and Misa Saburi. In the story, the song is the buzzing of the cicadas. As Bloomington welcomes the return of the Brood X periodical cicada, which we have not seen in 17 years, we are excited to talk about cicadas with our youngest visitors. After the story we will create image-based cicada life cycles that the participants may take home with them. Science Story Time allows young scientists to develop literacy and STEM skills as well as build vocabulary by actively participating in the program. Activities designed for ages 3-6. All welcome.

Cost: Free with Museum Admission
