The scrolls include some of the oldest existing Hebrew Bible texts, along with a large collection of other documents that reveal much about the world in a pivotal time in religious history-the world immediately prior to the development of Christianity and post-Temple Judaism.

The lecture, “Farm Sanctuary: Changing Hearts and Minds About Animals and Food,” will take place Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at 7pm in City Hall Council Chambers, 401 N Morton St. It is free and open to the public. Copies of Baur’s national best seller, which has the same title as his lecture, will be available for sale and signing.
