Spring Market — Fountain Square Mall!!

20+ handmade vendors spread throughout historic Fountain Square Mall

——————-

BHM is a juried indie craft fair that occurs twice per year – once in the spring, once in the fall. The spring mini showcases 20+ artists from all over the Midwest. The only craft fair of its kind in Bloomington – you’ll find things like silkscreen t-shirts and posters, a wide array of jewelry, plush creatures, art prints, hand-bound books, bags and purses, cards, stuff for kids, handmade soaps, original art, and more!

The spring mini is hosted by the wonderful historic Fountain Square Mall! Our makers will be spread throughout the main atrium and vestibule of the building.

Fountain Square Mall is located at 101 W Kirkwood Ave on the south side of the downtown square in Bloomington IN. There is an attached parking garage on 4th St that is free to park in on Saturdays, and attached via a SkyWalk. There is also street parking that is metered.

Admission to BHM is free and open to the public! Please note that while many of our vendors have the means to accept credit cards, not all of them do, so bring plenty of cash!

My Children! My Africa!

02:00 pm to 05:00 pm
Ivy Tech John Waldron Arts Center in the Firebay Theatre
http://artofafrica.brownpapertickets.com

“Fugard’s toughest and most moving political play. One of the theatre’s most affecting dissections of social upheaval.” –Linda Winer, New York Newsday

Generational conflict over the most effective means for ending apartheid in South Africa leads to an explosive confrontation between a gifted but impatient black township youth and his devoted but “old-fashioned” black teacher in this deeply felt and richly imagined drama first presented in the United States in 1989 by the New York Theatre Workshop. The unexpected involvement of a young white woman who befriends and learns from both men strips away the political trappings to reveal the human trauma at the heart of South Africa’s ongoing tragedy.

My Children! My Africa! is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, INC.

Cast:

Mr. M- Ansley Valentine
Thami- Yusuf Agunbiade
Isabel- Tara Chiusano

Director:

Murray McGibbon
