BHM is a juried indie craft fair that occurs twice per year – once in the spring, once in the fall. The spring mini showcases 20+ artists from all over the Midwest. The only craft fair of its kind in Bloomington – you’ll find things like silkscreen t-shirts and posters, a wide array of jewelry, plush creatures, art prints, hand-bound books, bags and purses, cards, stuff for kids, handmade soaps, original art, and more!

Hatha Yoga on Saturdays

Taught by Allana Radecki who has been teaching Hatha Yoga since 1988. Her “Yoga from the Inside Out,” draws upon the foundation poses of Hatha Yoga, guided by the breath, to develop a balanced, mindful practice. Allana’s method adapts easily to all ages and levels of practice and is helpful to people with special needs, injuries and joint replacements.

Saturday, April 30, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday, May 1, from 1-4 p.m. Native perennials sourced from Spence Restoration Nursery, Indiana’s premier native plant supplier, will be a primary emphasis of the plant sale. The plants will include those suitable for rain gardens, butterfly gardens, and as primary pollinator food sources. Also available will be landscape flowers, spring-planted bulbs, and miscellaneous trees and shrubs. The proceeds from the sale will benefit ongoing gardening efforts at the site. Volunteer-produced jams, jellies, and preserves will also be available for purchase, and members of Friday Musicale will provide music inside the 1892 main house, which will also be open to visitors. The Farmstead is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is owned and maintained by Bloomington Restorations, Inc.

Jacobs School of Music string students perform a variety of classical repertoire in the parlor of the historic house museum. Under the direction of the Pacifica Quartet, the Jacobs School of Music’s quartet-in-residence, these brilliant young musicians delight and entertain guests with their incredible talent. The museum is an ideal and intimate setting in which to enjoy this special musical experience.

Imagine 100 of Bloomington’s most notable men retreating into their respective kitchens to concoct their favorite dish. After a careful and loving preparation, the chef creatively decorates his serving station, dons his favorite costume in an effort to entice the crowd of 600 friends, family, and fellow community members to take a nibble of their specialty cuisine. The prize: the coveted title of “TOP CHEF” and bragging rights for the next year!
Guests at 100 Men Who Cook will be treated to all the usual offerings of a gala setting, but at this event they will also have 100 options for their tasting pleasure. They’ll also enjoy one of the most extraordinary social events of the year and it all benefits the IU Health Bloomington Hospital G.O.A.L (Get OnBoard Active Living) program and Bloomington Meals on Wheels!
