Luke Buck, a watercolor artist and native Hoosier, has put together a collection of his favorite painting subject, something which holds a very special place in his heart, “Indiana Back Roads.”

All paintings in the exhibit will depict scenes of actual places, mainly those of the southern central Indiana area. Often, collectors may recognize any given scene as a place they have passed while traveling one of the back roads or blue highways of our beautiful state.

Around Bloomington the name ‘Hoosier Darling’ is interchangeable with the WFHB GoZpel GurlZ – a tight harmony trio that includes Ginger Curry, Sarah Flint and Suzette Weakley. Performing Audience favorite cover tunes intermingled with an equal mix of their tunes they’ve written, this fun group of gal-pals offer up some fresh entertainment for your listening pleasure as you roam around THE MOST BEAUTIFUL Farmer’s Market in the region!

The Dynamics play R&B, Funk, and Blues classics by such artist as Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, and Parliament/Funkadelics. To that mix, they also add current (and-soon-to-be classic) R&B flavored songs.

Kirby Stailey will be performing at the Mitchell Opera House on August 8, 2015 at 7pm. Kirby was born and raised in Southern Indiana and began singing in church at the age of 5. From that point on, music held a special place in his life. During his youth, he played bass guitar, acoustic guitar, and sang lead vocals in a variety of different bands from heavy metal, blues, rock and roll, and country. He now performs Country-Gospel, Contemporary Christian, and Modern Country. Kirby now resides in Orange County, Indiana and is currently writing his second Gospel album.

CJAM is one of the six charities chosen for this local dance contest. With this opportunity, this small nonprofit has a chance to expand its reach in the community and raise significant funds. The extravaganza will be held at the Buskirk-Chumley Theatre on Saturday, August 8th. Donna Hackney, CJAM board member, is their celebrity dancer.
