Don Giovanni
September 15, 16, 22, 23 7:30PM

Meet Don Giovanni—a serial seducer with a stone-cold heart.

Sexy and charismatic, he’s also seriously bad news for the legions of women who have joined his catalogue of conquests either by choice or by force. Using his social position and wealth to get whatever he wants, this is a man who deserves to go straight to hell—and in a coup de théâtre, he does when his latest victims decide that he must be stopped!

Divine music matched with a flawless libretto—black comedy impeccably paired with poignant tragedy—Mozart’s masterpiece is universally acknowledged as “the perfect opera.” Be there to experience the excitement as our stunning new production opens the season.

Pablo Adams, Chris Learned & Briana Meyers Duo (Sheepish), David Diavila – The Bloomington Songwriter Showcase

08:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Bears Place - 1316 East 3rd St., Bloomington IN 47401

Pablo Adams (www.reverbnation.com/pablomusic4u) has been performing at the Showcase for almost as long as it’s been in existence. Songs about his time in Vietnam, his true love (his Elcamino), being of ‘a certain age’ and just about everything in between – Pablo’s music is sure to entertain. We always look forward to hearing Pablo’s songs when he visits us from Mooresville, Indiana!

David Divila  (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0XEHyL-hNc; www.facebook.com/david.d.gonzalez.129; http://www.matixando.org (Spanish)) performed on our Open Guest Chair last year – and has just returned from Costa Rica. This past week, David once again took the stage during an Open Guest Chair spot – and this time we didn’t let him get away! Latin influence music – often in his native language, with a kind-heart and love for music, make this singer-songwriter really entertaining. This will be David’s first full feature Showcase and we look forward to making him a regular!

Sheepish – aka Husband-Wife Duo Chris Learned and Briana Meyers – performed several weeks ago and simply won everyone in the room over with their extreme harmony and very cool stage presence . . . not to mention some GREAT songs! They’re young, they’re good, and we’re very pleased to have them back on this Tuesday evening! Learn more about this fantastic Duo at www.facebook.com/SheepishMusic OR www.SheepishMusic.Bandcamp.com.

Don’t forget – the Bloomington Songwriter Showcase is FREE
Must be 21+ to enter Bears Place BACK ROOM
