Va-Va-Va Vaudeville

02:00 pm to 11:00 pm
BUSKIRK-CHUMLEY THEATER

Check out the Facebook Event Page

Dance Network Alliance (DNA) is producing a large-scale vaudeville-themed variety show at the historic Buskirk-Chumley Theater (114 E Kirkwood Avenue). There will be a matinee for kids at 2pm, and a more adult evening show at 8pm, both shows on Saturday, August 19, 2017. Sponsored by the Dance Network Alliance, this variety show extravaganza of Bloomington performers harkens back to early twentieth-century vaudeville troupes that crisscrossed the country by train, entertaining young and old alike.

There is something for everyone, including a children’s matinee featuring many younger performers, and a more risqué, adult evening show featuring AsaBela Aerial Circus Academy, The Hudsucker Posse, Windfall Dancers, Jan Lucas Belly Dance, Puppeteer Terri Klingeihoefer, Bloomington Acro Yoga, and The Dance Center, with MCs Argenta Perón, the People’s Diva and two-time Bloomington Comedy Festival winner David Britton.
Tickets are available online from the BCT Box Office:

Summer Music Series at Oliver Winery – Fab Too

04:00 pm to 07:00 pm
Oliver Winery
http://www.oliverwinery.com

Also known as “Two of Us” or the “Nowhere Men,” this acoustic Beatles tribute band is a duet of Mark Bennett and Don Keegan. They’re all Beatles all the time, with some post-fab Beatle solo career songs or other tie-ins, like artists who recorded on Apple Records. But you get the idea — these guys are big fans of the lads from Liverpool. https://www.facebook.com/Fab-Too-790712754272794/
