During the concert, the BSO will provide live soundtrack as we lead children and adults on a imaginary nature walk. Audience members will be encourages to participate as we sing, sway, act, and dance with the music. Activities will be varied, and appropriate for many age groups.
Our goal is to reach out to families that aren’t typically classical music listeners and show them how to listen and enjoy music, whatever the setting. We are partnering with IU’s Innovative Musical Beginnings Program to present this concert as a learning tool for families. This musical walk will demonstrate how to be an active listener-using your mind and body-rather then passively letting music go by.
