Science Sprouts is a weekly science enrichment program designed especially for toddlers and their families. Toddlers are natural scientists, and Science Sprouts is a time for them to explore, experiment, and build skills ranging from physical development to social/emotional development. Science Sprouts activities are designed and facilitated by early childhood specialists and involve hands-on exploration, live music, body movement, and a commitment to accurate science!

Another Bloomington holiday tradition:
William S. Burroughs’ timeless tale of giving, “The Junky’s Christmas,” Ray Bradbury’s heartwarming noir, “It Burns Me Up!,” and Lucille Fletcher’s radio theatre classic, “Sorry, Wrong Number,” with Musical Sonic Exploration by Urban Deer Record Co. There will also be an open mic.
Plays will be performed by Thea Bransby, Tony Brewer, Arthur Cullipher, Richard Fish, Joan Hawkins, Ian Uriel Girdley, Shayne Laughter, Kyle Quass, Chris Rall, Brandie Wendling Roberts, Bryan Roberts, and Becky Stapf.
All proceeds will benefit the Wounded Galaxies Festival 1968, which is coming to Bloomington in February 2018.

A Holiday Musical Special From Bloomington’s Troubadour, Travis Puntarelli, at The Venue

On Thursday eve, December 14th, beginning at 6:00p.m., The Venue will host an uplifting holiday musical performance featuring Travis Puntarelli, The Troubadour of the Bloomigton music scene. Travis, like Joshua Bell, bridges the town and gown of Bloomington, A native of Bloomington who studied at The Jacobs School and the Theater Department, and has now traveled the world,Travis is an equally extraordinary talent.
Travis performs alone and often with fellow musicians and vocalists, covering a musical range from ancient traditional Latin and Irish chants and folk songs, to the most contemporary hip hop and rap. It is all presented with an enthusiasm and an energy that is as contagious as it is captivating.
This special Thursday eve performance is free, and you may even get to meet Travis’s wife and new baby, family, and friends..
