“For the Beauty of the Earth”, an exhibition of photographs and artwork by Glenda Breeden and Patricia C. Coleman, opens November 1, 2013 in Lennie’s Restaurant and Brewhouse. Opening Reception is Tuesday, November 5th 7:00pm to 9:00pm in Lennie’s Bar and Brewhouse, 1795 East 10th Street, Bloomington, IN. Exhibit runs through December 31, 2013. Glenda Breeden is passionate about photographing nature. She is a peace activist, writer, photographer, poet, mother, grandmother and advocate for justice. Patricia C. Coleman loves the process of moving ideas into artist reality. Artist, poet, storyteller, she is owner of Patricia’s Wellness Arts Café where she shares her arts and crafts and herbal products, and the creations of ten other local artist and artisans. “CELEBRATION Gift-able ARTS” : an exhibit of locally crafted arts, crafts, gifts and ornaments to surprise and delight. Exhibit runs through December 31st, 2013. The Wellness Arts Gallery features the work of local artists, craftspeople, and creative people from across the earth. Open Tuesday through Friday, 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm; Saturdays, 12 pm to 5 pm, Sundays 1-4 pm with BAKE SALE and every first Friday 1- 8 pm. Every Monday evening at The Player’s Pub, the Songwriter Showcase series displays the talents of local and regional artists. No cover is charged, but donations are appreciated. Player’s Pub has an all-ages section, as well as the main 21-and-up area, and serves a wide variety of entrees, sandwiches, appetizers and drinks.

Monday nights at 9 pm, The Bluebird nightclub features an evening of karaoke hosted by local favorite Dave Walter. Free admission. Ages 21 and up. Check Bluebird website to confirm.
