Juniper Art Gallery is thrilled to welcome Kativar for a very special Art & Music Series event that will take us back to early Spain! Kativar is a trio consisting of Dena El Saffar, Tomás Lozano and Tim Moore. They perform the music of Sephardic Spain. Their instruments include guitar, hurdy-gurdy, viola, oud, and several others that create beautiful and unique sounds. Their centuries-old repertoire is brought to life with singing and captivating arrangements that reflect the influences of Spain and the Middle East.

“Kativar” a Ladino word meaning “to captivate.” This is an Owen County musical opportunity not to be missed!

The Bloomington Academy of Film and Theatre presents “Approaching Intimacy on Stage and Screen” part one of a two-part workshop with Intimacy Director Samantha Kaufman.

Part 1: Saturday, Feb 15 from 3:00 – 6:00 pm. Offered to actors, directors, and on-set professionals, this workshop explores three pathways to dynamic intimate storytelling. This introductory class includes exercises in instant chemistry, consent, and choreography.

WonderLab Museum is once again participating in LifeDesigns’ chocolate celebration with the 21+ event, After Dark: Chocolate. Enjoy chocolate as you explore the museum and learn about the history and science behind this delicious treat. This event will feature local food, drink, and lots of delicious chocolate! After Dark: Chocolate will take place at WonderLab Museum on Sat February 15 from 6-9 PM.

This event begins Saturday evening 2/15 with “Stargazing and Drum Circle”, followed by a concert, “Love Songs to Mother Earth” with Curtis Cantwell Jackson and Janiece Jaffe. Sunday, 2/16, events begin with a guided hike by Park Naturalist, Patrick Haulter @ 11 a.m. Following is tea tasting. “Branching In” meditation movement follows the tea tasting. At 2:25, is “Textile Art: Honoring Nature’s Messages, followed by a “Guided Song Circle & Musical Meditation to close out the day’s events. This event is sponsored by the Indiana Arts Commission.

Quincy (Omar Epps) and Monica (Sanaa Lathan) are childhood friends who aspire to be professional basketball players. Quincy, whose father plays for the Los Angeles Clippers, is a natural talent and a born leader. Monica is ferociously competitive but sometimes displays a temper on the court. As they follow their separate paths to stardom, basketball brings them together, then sends them in different directions, and eventually reunites them, in a love story that spans years.
