To kick off WonderLab’s Big-Headed Ants Special Exhibition, Stone Belt Big-Headed Ant artwork in a variety of media by will be exhibited and for sale! Join us for a First Friday reception to celebrate the artists and their work. WonderLab offers half off admission on First Friday evenings, but Stone Belt guests (clients, their families and staff) will get FREE admission for the reception and activities. Enjoy a meet and greet with the artists and light refreshments. Stone Belt guests check in at the front desk at arrival and mention “Stone Belt Artists”. Come early and stay late to enjoy the other special activities and the special exhibition on Big-Headed Ants.

Celebrate this holiday season with local art and help keep Bloomington vibrant! For the holiday months, By Hand Gallery has put together a special show featuring our local Bloomington artists. The show highlights more than 45 artists and a variety of media, with choice fine art pieces by Rudy Pozzatti.

Kick off the new year with a dip in Lake Monroe at Fairfax Beach …. The Bloomington Polar Bear Plunge is in its 11th year! It’s a free, fun event and everyone is welcome to participate (or just come out and cheer us on).
We gather around 10:00AM and make our dash into the water at 1100AM. This year’s theme is “Hippies” … all participants are awarded an official “Polar Bear Certificate of Achievement”. T-shirts will be available for purchase with all proceeds going to the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network to support research and awareness. Registered participants will be eligible for a raffle — Registration is free and is done the morning of the Plunge. Bring your friends, spouse, family, neighbors, sibilings!!! It is a seriously fun time :)

Run/Walk Start Time: 3:30 p.m.

This is an untimed, non-competitive run/walk. You’ll be able to choose from a 3.6-mile course through forest and fields, or 1.6-mile course through the woods.
