Step into The Mill to escape the chilly air and warm up with some delicious chili at the Chilly Cook-Off on Saturday, January 11. Stop by any time between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. during Freezefest festivities to enjoy chili made by talented chefs in our community.
The Chilly Cook-Off is an official Freezefest event benefiting United Way of Monroe County.
Up to 20 varieties of chili made by community chefs will be available to choose from, including vegetarian options. Attendees are invited to vote for their favorite. The recipe with the most votes will win the People’s Choice award and their chili recipe will be featured at Chocolate Moose through the end of February. A panel of judges will also name best overall, best vegetarian, most creative, and hottest.
Pair your chili with ice cream provided by the Chocolate Moose with vegan options available. Enjoy while listening to live music by Charlie Jesseph and other entertainment.
Think you can handle the hottest bowl of chili? You can enter the “Some Like it Hot” Chili Eating Contest at 12:30 p.m. during the Cook-Off.
