Chili Cook-Off

11:00 am to 02:00 pm on Dec 22
The Mill
https://www.monroeunitedway.org/CookOff

Step into The Mill to escape the chilly air and warm up with delicious chili at the Chilly Cook-Off on Saturday, January 22. Plan to join the festivities at The Mill in between your Freezefest activities to sample the best chili recipes in town and a scooped ice cream dessert generously provided by Chocolate Moose (vegan option available).

Tickets will be available for the time slots of 11am – 12:30pm or 12:30pm – 2pm and are only $10 ($5 for ages 3-12, kids 2 and under are free) with all proceeds going to United Way. Advance ticket purchases are recommended.

A panel of judges will determine best overall, best vegetarian, most creative, and best professional. Attendees are invited to cast their vote for the People’s Choice award.

Up to 24 varieties of chili made by community cooks will be available to sample, including vegetarian options.

Think you can handle the hottest bowl of chili? You can enter the “Some Like it Hot” Chili Eating Contest at 12:30 p.m. during the Cook-Off.

For the health and safety of attendees, all guests and chefs will be required to wear a face mask over the nose and mouth except when actively eating or drinking. Ticket sales will be limited to allow for social distancing and sold in two timeframes.
