Join us for a reading of Brave by Stacy McAnulty with illustrations by Joanne Lew-Vriethoff. After a story about powerful kids that can change the world, we will explore cleaning up the world by cleaning up an oil spill. We will also discuss the importance of protecting wildlife and their habitats from oil spills. Science Story Time allows young scientists to develop literacy and STEM skills as well as build vocabulary by actively participating in the program. Activities designed for ages 3-6. All welcome.

In this edition of Dive Deeper we are exploring the adaptations organisms use to survive the coldest Oceans on Earth. To do the experiment, you will want a bowl of ice water, a sandwich bag of butter, margarine, or shortening and another empty sandwich bag. We will cover academic standards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade Life Science 2nd grade Earth and Space Science standards.
