Wild Edibles Workshop
Wednesday, July 22 at 8:30 a.m.

• Sign up at http://bit.ly/wildedibles2015
• Preregistration is required by July 19.
• Limited to 8 people. Restricted to ages 16 and up.
• Program fee is $20 per person.
• Location: Northfork Marshes

Curious about how our ancestors found food in the days before farms and grocery stores? Just want to experiment with some new and different ingredients? This workshop is designed for people with little to no experience working with wild edible plants. We’ll focus on 4 to 6 plants and cover every step needed to bring them from field to table: identification, harvest, and preparation. This is a hands-on workshop – we won’t just be talking, we’ll be doing – so expect to be outside for the majority of the time (even if it rains!). The workshop will conclude with food sampling, “dos and don’ts”, and info on how to build on and expand your new skills. 3 hours

Dawn is a self-taught artist, who currently works full-time out of her home studio in Indianapolis, IN. She has been working in glass since 2006, but has been fascinated by it ever since her father introduced her to it as a child. Though she has tried stained and blown glass, fused glass caught her attention. She is always trying to learn new techniques so she can grow as an artist and constantly create unique art pieces.
