Evensong with the Notre Dame Children’s Choir at Trinity Episcopal Church
Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 5:00pm

The University of Notre Dame Children’s Choir will lead Choral Evensong at Trinity Episcopal Church on Saturday, June 10 at 5pm. The Notre Dame Children’s Choir was founded in 2013 by Dr. Mark Doerries and Hillary Doerries (former Music Intern at Trinity Episcopal) and is modeled on the English cathedral choir system. The NDCC is ecumenical and educates over 250 choristers in the greater Notre Dame region of Indiana and trains over a dozen child organists.

The Choir is on a midwest tour to celebrate the release of their latest CD, O Day of Peace; a collection of the choir’s favorite hymns and anthems. The Choir’s previous CD, O Emmanuel, a jazz Advent and Christmas cantata, debuted at number one on Billboard’s Chart of Traditional Classical Music. The Choir has perform for a TEDx Conference, the Indiana Music Education Association, the National Pastoral Musician’s Association 2017 conference, and recently recorded a new CD with GRAMMY winning trumpeter Arturo Sandoval.

Choral Evensong at Trinity is open to the public and free to all. For more information, visit: sma.nd.edu.
