On the fourth Sunday of each month, STEM becomes STEAM when we add Art and Design to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Join us to explore the mathematics hidden in art through a hands-on drawing activity. Participants will be guided in creating their own pattern using tessellation, and learn about real artists and architects that use tessellation to create their designs in the world around us. Suggested materials include 2 pieces of paper and markers or crayons. This is a great opportunity for the whole family or group to explore the engineering design process as well as develop STEM skills such as defining & problem solving, exploring cause & effect, and the collaborative process. This program is made possible through funding from Cook Medical. and CFC Properties.
NOTE: Our STEM Sunday sessions are moving to a 30 minute program for the month of February, instead of an hour long program.
