Cicada Cinema is delighted to return to The Wood Shop on March 29th and bring the stunning new restoration of POLICE STORY to Bloomington! We hope you join us for the wildly inventive martial-arts comedy that made Jackie Chan an international icon! Oh, and did we mention that the Wood Shop will have its fine selection of delicious craft beers (sours and otherwise) on tap during the movie?
Come out for a delicious beverage and stick around for the high-flying action of this beautiful new 4K digital restoration courtesy of Janus Films!

Synopsis: Jackie Chan- director/actor/one-man stunt team- plays a Hong Kong police inspector who goes rogue to bring down a drug kingpin and protect the case’s star witness from retribution. Packed wall-to-wall with slapstick action and astounding acrobatic fight choreography — including an epic shopping-mall melee of flying fists and shattered glass — the film set the standard for rock-’em-sock-’em mayhem that would influence an entire generation of filmmakers from Hong Kong to Hollywood.
