Feverish Oceans: Imagine entire forests of trees just disappearing. The plants and animals that depend on these trees would also eventually die out. Because of climate change, this very phenomenon is happening in our oceans right now. As atmospheric temperatures climb here on land, oceanic hot-spots are developing rapidly and cold water organisms are beginning to feel the heat. Massive die-offs of entire kelp forests have begun cascades of loss in the species relying on these ecosystems. Babies (not yet walking)
Baby & Me Yoga is designed to provide a safe space for you and your infant to explore movement together incorporating yoga poses and playful movement. This class will provide time for necessary physical activity that supports the development of your baby’s growth. You will gain a new awareness and knowledge on the fundamentals of the movement for your infant and learn techniques to practice at home. These activities will help you to connect with your baby in a new way.
All parents are invited and welcome to attend!
What to bring: One yoga mat per adult (available to rent for $2 each). Wear comfortable exercise clothes.
What to expect: This class is as unpredictable as the babies who attend! Expect to laugh and have fun while getting light physical exercise.
Age restrictions: Babies ages 3 months (able to hold up head) to 12 months (not yet “cruising” or walking) are welcome to join!
Cost: $20 for 1 adult + 1 baby, $35 for 2 adults + 1 baby
