Beginning Friday, May 4th, at 6:00 pm, The Venue will host a new exhibit of the works of Daniel Lager. A Venue favorite, Dan’s paintings, in enamel and on the reverse side of glass, are “bright, whimsical, and a joy for the eye.” With growing national recognition, you will be pleased and rewarded by adding a Lager to your collection.

The Platinum Bike Summit is a unique, once-a-year opportunity for Bloomington’s bike community to come together in order to share experiences and bridge gaps between various efforts to make our community more bicycle-friendly. This year, it will include presentations on the City’s bicycling projects and breakout sessions addressing key community initiatives:
Opening remarks by Bloomington’s Deputy Mayor, Maria Heslin, will recap the City’s past year of bicycle-friendly accomplishments.
Several breakout sessions will highlight key community initiatives and projects for participants to get involved with:
Shifting Gears – The Making of Bikes Week 2013
Town & Gown Synergy – A Bicycle Friendly IU
Gateway Trail System – A Vision for Mountain Biking in Bloomington
A Vehicle for Change – Bicycling and Community Empowerment
A keynote presentation by Jeff Olson, principal of Alta Planning and Design, will highlight national trends as they pertain to Bloomington and unveil designs from the City of Bloomington’s Bikeways Implementation Plan.

Strength training is recommended to help keep muscles toned and bones dense. Certified instructors will use equipment such as body bars, hand weights, and stability balls to create a variety of workouts. This one-hour strength class will use exercises that are functionally appropriate for all and will create an overall toning experience for the entire body.
